S'odinonsuonare is a performance collective started in Padova in 2010 by Alessio Mazzaro and Marco Campana. It is interested in researching and creating new musical instruments that can be play with the movement of the body. The collective has worked with contact microphones and flex movement sensors, creating every time a sound and movement vocabulary to make performance with. The goal of S'odinonsuonare is the interaction between music composition and choreography, to bring to “new dimension” the relationship touch/sound, move/sound. To research a direct correspondence between musical and movement language, creating a game, a dynamics based on discovery and instinct of the performer. In 2013 it won the grant of mobility for young italian artist, Movin up, by the Italian Department of Culture. In 2014 it is in residency at STEIM in Amsterdam, where it starts the project Flex, a project about suitable movement sensors for dancers. This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
