Event Description

Montag Modus Performance series

Introducing:
Dominika Trapp: CRYSTAL CLEAR DIET
Viktor Szeri: ∆YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY
Sanaz Azizi and Constanza Ruiz: SALT

On 07 December at 8pm, the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin (CHB) will present the sixth edition of the Montag Modus performance series. Artists from Berlin, Budapest and Cologne have been invited to contribute to the CHBs yearlong project.

Focusing on “cultured bodies”, in December the Montag Modus performance series investigates; alternative lifestyles, elements and objects and how these can have an impact on the perception of how oneself is seen. Examining what is regarded as pure and natural, the performances visualize how bodies are handled, shaped or educated in order to fit into constructed categories. The evening attempts to push attendees to critically scrutinize how we regard the body in culture, our perception of the aesthetics of our own body and the metaphorical and physical destruction bodies have in general society.

Montag Modus is a series of monthly performances that provides a venue for artists to present their works using the spaces within the CHB. It facilitates the fusion of different artistic genres and aims to create a platform for exchange and collaboration, initiating potential cooperation between Berlin based artists with one another as well as with Hungarian artists.

Curated by: Lena Szirmay-Kalos and Kata Krasznahorkai

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
