Event Description

What if the world stopped to dance?

Well, it will! And you and your company are invited to join us!

March 30, 2012

simultaneously around the world

12 noon in San Francisco...3 pm in NY & Toronto...4 pm in Buenos Aires...9 pm in Rome, Prague & Cairo ...10 pm in Istanbul, Nairobi & Minsk...

and so on around the world! (check the world clock for you time zone)

You and your company are invited to perform in our 8th year of transforming public spaces and everyday relations into vehicles of inspiration!

Every year we synchronize our calendars and watches and simultaneously spread dancing images into every corner of our community landscapes across the globe. Dancers, students, seniors, artists, business men and dreamers alike put aside their daily grind and unleash their moving creativity in museums, parks, boardwalks, office buildings, bedrooms, anywhere their dancing bodies will fit. Every year thousands of people from Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Estonia, and around the world participate!

Go to danceanywhere.org to create a profile and put a location on the map.

Dances can be choreographed or improvised, deeply thought out or totally spontaneous. If you’re in rehearsals you can just shoot a photo or video. If you’re at work take a coffee/dance break. If you’re teaching - do it with your class. If you’re on the train, perfect!
Go to our website: danceanywhere.org
Make a profile for yourself, put your event on our interactive map, get together your company or dancing compadres or just go out on your own, and dance!

When you’re done share your photos, videos, and stories in our on-line galleries and blog! The on-line component of this project is vital as a means of exchange with an exceptional network of cultural creatives invested in a more expressive and interactive social landscape.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
