Comment by Andrew Schneider on November 3, 2008 at 8:26am: Word up! Hey, yup the shoes have simple photo-cell in the heels so the higher the foot is off the ground, the more light gets in, the higher the sensor "knows" the foot is off the ground. There's more explanation here:
