zikzira action space is the creative hub of the company where ideas are tried out and projects conceived.

Zikzira interacts with artists from around the globe.
In 2008, Zikzira co-directed with Teatro da Vertigem and Peruvian theatre company Lot the intervention piece entitled “A última palavra é a penúltima” (‘The last word is the penultimate’), inspired by on Gilles Deleuze’s examination of Samuel Beckett’s work. In the same year, Zikzira created, in collaboration with Pedro Bastos from Hibridus, the studio piece “500 words on a ping-pong ball”. In 2009, in the context of the programme ‘Residency’ hosts several international professionals.

In 2009, zikzira action space resumes its activities with a varied and international programme entitled ‘Soliloquium’, giving solo artists the opportunity to showcase their work beyond conventional theatrical definitions, expressing, in a solo or monologue, states, thoughts or emotions - not to another character or the audience - but to themselves, within themselves - in a an act of utter privacy, generating a space where witnessing physical actions can become available to the public.
