vloeistof is a collaboration between the dance makers anja reinhardt and yuri bongers, based in the netherlands.
vloeistof was founded in 2000 and specializes in dance pieces in which space, perception and dance are combined as means to communicate about societal themes in the urban modern world. the dance language is a coexistence of abstract movement and daily behavior.
vloeistof´s recent piece is called 'welcome in the outside world'. a dance piece which combines dance in public space with new ways of experiencing dance. the spectators are sitting in a car parked along a lively street in the city.
in this specific work the reactions of passers-by (unaware of being part of the dance piece) plays an important role. it gives a mirror of the freedom and neglection of 'the other' in public space. with this work vloeistof explores the social map of urban cities and how people in divers cities respond.
vloeistof's work is shown on various festivals throughout the nederlands and belgium. the film 'wildmenspark' travelled worldwide (johannesburg, los angeles, bilbao, thessaloniki, porto)
