‘SiMbA’ is a word from the Shona or Swahili language, spoken by the Bantu people of Zimbabwe and other parts of Africa. It translates as POWER or LION.Simba Arts (sima) is a newly non profital dance education and Entertainment organisation (once used the name Fulukia Academy of performing Arts),was established by Simbarashe Norman Fulukia (a.k.a Simba) in July 2006 and has been growing steadily ever since. Simba Arts Organisation is designed to promote the art of movement,creative dance, African cultural and social inclusion in communities and education in Mbare Township in Harare,Zimbabwe through educational programs, events, dance and music projects.SiMbA ARts serves as a dance outlet for all interested youths, regardless of their dance ability and/or experience and aims to provide a ladder of opportunity for the training of professional all round dance teachers & dancers and to establish an employment base in dance, arts as a whole.The SiMbA ARts resides at Stodart gym Hall in Mbare, Harare.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.
