Not born in Silicon Valley, Olivier Baudry lived in France where he has been working for the last decade as artist, theoretician and researcher in Paris and Valenciennes. He is currently Researcher, designer of Digital Arts where he works on scenography an used programming, interactivity, sound design, lighting, networks, robotics, and space. He has participated in several international exhibitions and festivals dedicated to digital art: Sonoscopie 2, Le Phénix Théâtre national de Valenciennes, 2007; Sonoscopie 1, Espace Pasolini Valenciennes, 2006; White Night and Black Night, Exibition at the Glenfiddich Art,Gallery,Curator : Claudia Zeiske, Dufftown, Scotland, 2006; Sound design around the water,Unesco, 2005;Exibition at the Art Gallery at the Ecole supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Valenciennes, 2005; Design21,Unesco, 2004. With Grégoire Motte, Dominique Guillot, Gaétan Portos, Cédric Laty and Vincent Gérard make one short cut adapted from the John Salinger's novell, The perfect day for Banana Fish, diffused by Centre Pompidou produced with C.N.C, Paris, 2002-2003. His interactive force-feedback installation, Agamemnon, produced with the A.R.E.A, Association régionale des écoles d'arts du Nord Pas de Calais. He has been awarded several research and artistic grants for the creation of interactive prototypes and artworks. As a researcher at the laboratory, he assists many young artists in the production of interactive, generative, and sounds installations. He explores the evolution of artistic creation in relationship to the digital arts. He composes music for concert, film, video, dance, theatre and sound installation and he developed real-time software tools for processing and spatialisation of sounds and multimedia interaction. He participed at most workshop with Compagnie Thec, Rioji Ikeda, Daniel Danis, Bernard Cavanna, Stevie Wishart,Eléonore Bak, Patricia Dallio, Johan Vandermaelen, Frédéric Lejunter, Anne James Chatton, Alain Raoust, Cédric Laty and Vincent Gérard, Frédérique Paoletti and Catherine Rouland, Frank Houndégla, Hendrik Sturm, H5, Cédric Lissajoux and more. He studied at the Ecole supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Valenciennes from 2002 to 2007, where he has national diploma on arts and technics in 2005 under the direction of Patrick Beaucé and Higher national diploma in design in 2007 under the direction of Petr Opelik. He studied electroacoustic composition at the electroacoustic courses at the ArtZoyd's Studios with André Serre-Milan and Carl Faia from 2005 to Now.
