I have a BA in Philosophy and another in Fine Arts, a MA in Art History and a PhD in Dance. As Professor at Faculdade de Motricidade Humana / TU Lisbon, I teach graduate and postgraduate students on several issues: Dance History, Aesthetics, Movement and Visual Arts, New Technologies applied to the stage. As a senior researcher, I've been in charge of Technologically Expanded Dance, a project being held with the support of the Portuguese Ministry of Science. My interests evolve a wide range of areas: from aesthetics to dance history, from cultural studies to digital technologies and experimental video. I am author of several studies on dance and art, and also a writer of two Science Fiction novels and short stories edited by Portuguese and Brazilians publishers. I am also a dance critic at “Expresso”, a weekly Portuguese newspaper.
