Tere O'Connor: Wrought Iron Fog at Dance Theater Workshop

Thumbnail
June 23, 2010 at 7:30pm to June 26, 2010 at 9pm
Dance Theater Workshop, in association with Tere O’Connor Dance, presents a return engagement of O’Connor’s Wrought Iron Fog. In a move away from episodic structures in dance, O’Connor submits to the forward rush of time as a ruling order, creating a complex chorographic essay on the nature of consciousness. Extreme shifts in rhythm, mood and style mirror the mercurial, unfixed nature of the human mind, and launch the brilliant performers into a state of constant flux.

Thumbnail
March 31, 2010 at 7:30pm to April 3, 2010 at 9pm
There is so much mad in me investigates the physical and theatrical narratives that drive our misplaced need to be seen. Driscoll, with her company of dancers, ask who we are and how we connect in this time of over stimulation and look at me distraction. Working from images seen in the media of people in extreme states, from torture to religious rapture, There is so much mad in me examines the similarities between polar extremes. What are the fine lines between the abject and the sublime,…See More
