Dance for the Camera (DFTC 2010) Intensive Summer Program is a unique opportunity for established and emerging choreographers, filmmakers, videographers, dancers and visual artist…
Bounce is a new dance cabaret produced by triPOD dance collective that showcases original creations by independent dance and physical theatre artists. Performances take place at the Victoria Event Centre, 1415 Broad St. in Victoria, B.C. Canada.
About the hardware, software and new tools for dance and technology.
Theoretical investigation, very open: cultural studies, phenomenology, philosophy, etc
I saw this a few weeks ago, isn't this awesome?
OMG'ess who knew technology had come so far, has anyone used any of these ideas for live performance? I was told chunky move tours with more technicians than dancers.
In a even more towards technology orientated society, how can we combine the costumes and gestures of the ancients with computers and audiovisual devises without loosing our connection to the universe and our roots ? High tech and corporal memory ?
As dance and technology is increasingly being taught throughout various programmes and outlets, this group's focus is the sharing of teaching practice and experiences in learning environments.
