Whitethorn over "exit" cursus wall - Grange Hill

The low stone wall, exactly parallel to another 20 metres to the left, helps guide celebrants back down the hill at the conclusion of the Béltaine sunrise pageant on Grange Hill... approx. 1600 - 1200 BCE.

The entry cursus is at right angles to this, and leads from the lake shore below in a broad arch up to the ridge which faces the "sunrise ridge" of Cnoc Gréine, on the horizon 7 kilometres away. Grian's warm-season Sun can be seen rising there by the crowd, after they come up to and over Grange (Grian's) Hill ridge following the cursus... on Béltaine morning in the early spring.
