I like to think about this network as a public space, so please be mindful and responsible on how you interact with the site and its members. It is space for communication and creativity. We all contribute to a safe and comfortable environment, sharing positive ideas and opinions, based on our life, artistic and technological experiences within this interdisciplinary practices. So, please be aware that our richness is in the diversity of ideas and opinions.

ADD A PROFILE PHOTO. (please!)

Your image will be automatically resized but make sure to crop it into a SQUARE before uploading. It needn't be a photo of you, just a nice visual to represent your online self.

FILL YOUR PROFILE PAGE.

IF YOU HAVE A BLOG YOU CAN CREATE AN RSS FEED TO YOUR PAGE

Click the MY STUFF button. Here you can BLOG, post PHOTOS, VIDEOS, MUSIC, WIDGETS, RSS FEEDS... and add/change answers to your profile questions.

I invite you to upload samples of your work, interviews, creative ideas...new uses of video on-line...

You can also customize the design and layout of your page

You can navigate the uploaded content clicking the tabs in the home page and they will take you to the specific sections: "Community" contains the members starting with the mot recent, photos and videos (VideoCommons) are organized by the latest upload, groups and forum (under community) are organized by the latest activity.

JOIN A GROUP

Take a look at the GROUPS PAGE.

If a group applies to you, join! If you have an idea for a new one, CREATE YOUR OWN and invite your friends to join.

START A DISCUSSION.

You can start a discussion by going to the FORUM page. Discussions, and new comments on them, are viewable by everyone on the MAIN PAGE.

ACCEPT FRIEND REQUESTS.

If the FRIEND ICON at the right of the page will indicate if you have FRIEND REQUEST. Click to approve!

READ AND WRITE MESSAGES.

If the MAIL ICON says NEW next to it, you have a message.

SEE YOUR BLOG POSTS ON THE MAIN PAGE.

Unless you choose to make it private, all blog posts will be viewable on the MAIN PAGE and in the BLOGS tab.

INVITE PEOPLE.

If you know a person or organization that might like to join us, we suggest sending them an email with a link to the site. The emails generated by the INVITE page, are usually stopped by SPAM filters (meaning people won't get them). So you can invite them with your own email...

If you have videos dances or screendances that you would like to share with the community we have the D/Plex section. Just add the "d/plex" tag to the videos

You can also enjoy watching the dance-techTV programs and collaborate as a content partner. dance-techTV is a collaborative broadcasting platform available to all the members but is the only section of the site that is curated and manages thought content partnerships and sponsorships. The rest of the sections open and available for interaction with all the members.
