Stress Positions,
choreography and performance by Julie Fotheringham,
video and live original music by Jarryd Lowder
'Stress Positions' is a highly sexual and political piece recognizing the crossover between torture as used by the US government to extract information from prisoners (enhanced interrogation techniques), and torture as used for pleasure in consensual practices of bondage and S&M. Movement/dance, live video projection, and live original music are intertwined in this performance where the line is blurred between what is consensual and what is not.
