Decoding Space - exchange and enquiry into technology and performance practice

Performance and Workshop dates soon to be announced. Opening Reception 13 March 6-8pm.

Performance and technology have been de!ning and re-de!ning their relationship for the last 25 years. Artists, performers and technologists have experimented with hardware, software, movement, virtual and physical space, revealing what many regard as a fairly new !eld of artistic practice, Digital Performance. Decoding Space samples a selection of ground-breaking, experimental and playful projects to encourage exploration of the current research and practice within the !eld of performance and technology.

From pervasive gaming, augmented reality, narrative and abstract animation, ubiquitous computing and computer human interaction, Decoding Space peers into the vast landscape of Digital Performance.

Featuring: Blast Theory, Quartic Llama, Playdead, Jeanette Ginslov, Lynn Parker and Corinne Jola.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
